Policies

Shipping

We ship almost exclusively by USPS Priority Mail (US Post). We use Flat Rate boxes and envelopes whenever possible; we can fit quite a bit of yarn in a Flat Rate box. Flat Rate shipping is usually the best price option. We have found USPS Priority Mail to be reliable (one package lost in 6 years!). They promise 2-3 days delivery anywhere in the US. When you get to the checkout portion of your order the computer will calculate shipping based on the number of items ordered. We DO NOT charge handling fees – you pay only for the actual shipping costs. Our goal is to ship out every order within 24 hours of receiving the order (unless there is a special order involved). Any questions, concerns please feel free to call us. For larger shipments we use UPS or FedEx.

International Shipping - The cart does NOT calculate International shipping rates.  We will figure out the best way to ship your order and send you an invoice for the exact amount. Unfortunately, there may be additional customs or duties fees beyond the actual shipping cost.

Shipping Rates 

  • A single cone/spool of yarn will be sent First Class Mail - $5.50
  • A single book will be sent Media Mail - $5.50
  • Up to 3 spools of most yarn will fit in a Flat Rate Envelope (6 spools of small linen or Venne cotton) - $8.55
  • Up to 10, 250 gram spools will be sent in a Flat Rate Medium box - $13.75
  • Up to 16, 250 gram spools will be sent in a Flat Rate Large box - $19.50
  • Anything over 16, 250 gram spools will be sent in the best combination of the above packaging, i.e. lowest cost.

Floor Looms and Special Ordered Large Accessories:

  • Shipping is free on all table and floor looms.
  • All looms and large accessories (not in stock) are special ordered and can be drop shipped to you, just ask!
  • Call for pricing on looms, we want to help you get the loom you want for a reasonable price.

Special Orders

We are always happy to get our customers what they need. We try to keep all colors in stock, if you need a large quantity of one color or all of one dye lot we may need to order that for you. We order from Bockens of Sweden once a month.  Any special orders will be added to our next monthly order. Call us if you need more of a color than we show available in the shopping cart.

Refunds 

We will take back most items ordered within 30 days of your order in their original condition, less shipping costs.  I know that sounds odd, but you'd be surprised what we've received back! Call or email first and be sure and put a note inside with your name and if you want an exchange or credit.
